Accessibility statement
I want everyone to be able to use notneedingnew.com, whatever device they use and however they read the web.
What the site aims for
The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That means, for example:
- text that can be enlarged without breaking the layout, and colours chosen for readable contrast
- everything usable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “skip to content” link
- descriptions on meaningful images, and labels on every form field
- animation that switches off if your device asks for reduced motion
Known limitations
- Some photos in older journal posts were written for Instagram and may not yet have full descriptions.
- The newsletter sign-up box on the newsletter page is provided by Substack, and pages on other websites (shops, Substack, Instagram) are outside my control.
Tell me about a problem
If something on the site is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please tell me through the contact form or by emailing anna@notneedingnew.com. Say which page and what went wrong, and I’ll do my best to fix it.
