Privacy notice
This notice explains how Anna Kilpatrick (“Not Needing New”, “I”) uses personal information collected through notneedingnew.com. I am the data controller. If you have any questions, email anna@notneedingnew.com.
What I collect and why
- Contact form: your name, email address and message, so I can reply to you. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering messages sent to me.
- Newsletter: my newsletter runs on Substack. If you subscribe, Substack collects your email address and handles it under its own privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- Website statistics: privacy-friendly, cookie-free visitor counts that do not identify you.
Who processes it
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Contact form messages are delivered by a form service (Web3Forms), which processes them only on my behalf. The newsletter is run by Substack.
How long I keep it
Messages are kept for as long as needed to reply and deal with your enquiry, and then deleted. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or object to how it is used. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This site links to bookshops, Instagram and other websites, which have their own privacy policies.
